Best Beaches Near Westshore in Tampa, FL

When you become a member of the Novus Westhore community, you get more than just a luxury apartment home. You become part of Tampa, and that means plenty of beach experiences.

If you are looking for a beach to enjoy that’s not far from your new luxury apartment home, here are some that should be on your list.

Ben T. Davis Beach
Located at 7650 W. Courtney Campbell Causeway, the Ben T. Davis Beach is the closest to your new community. You can park for two hours for just $1, and the beach is less than eight miles away. It’s a great beach to watch the sunset, and it also has a walking path along the Causeway that you can use for some exercise.

Apollo Beach Nature Reserve
Located at 6760 Surfside Boulevard in Apollo Beach, this one is a bit farther from Novus Westshore, but you will love how quiet and natural it is. This is a less tourist-heavy beach, and a great place to play for an afternoon without traveling far from home. It’s known to be frequented by manatees too, so keep your eyes open.

Honeymoon and Caladesi Park Beaches
Located side-by-side on the west end of State Road 586, these two are a little farther from your community, but the stunning qualities make it worth the drive. Take a hike on the 2.5-mile nature trail and keep your eyes out for the eagles and ospreys that nest there. The undeveloped beach is a treasure chest for shelling, and if you have a dog you will enjoy a designated dog beach. Low tide pools are a great place to explore for underwater creatures as well. Some of the beach is rocky, but there is plenty of soft sand as well, which means you will get the best of both worlds.

Redneck Riviera
Finally, a bit closer to home is the quiet Redneck Riviera. With no waves, it is a good beach to swim, but you will need to watch out for heavy boat traffic. There are no fees to park here either, which makes it popular with locals who just want a little bit of sand and sun for an afternoon.

Which of these will make your list this summer? With an apartment in Novus Westshore, you can see them all!
